FSA ITC Seatpost – brief explanation
The FSA SL-K ITC SB20 Seatpost is a carbon seatpost featuring FSA’s ITC (Independent Top Clamp) system. Its main advantage is that saddle angle and saddle fore-aft position can be adjusted independently, making bike fitting and fine saddle positioning much easier and more precise.

What this means in practice
The ITC system makes setup easier because saddle tilt and saddle position are adjusted separately, unlike many conventional seatposts where changing one often affects the other. This allows for quick and very precise adjustments, especially useful for detailed bike fitting.
The 20 mm setback means the saddle sits farther behind the seatpost centerline. By reversing the side clamps, it can be changed to 10 mm setback, giving more flexibility in achieving the ideal riding position.
Good for MTB?
Yes — especially for XC, marathon, or trail riding. For aggressive enduro or bike park riding, many riders prefer an aluminum post or a dropper post instead.
One important thing: make sure to choose the correct diameter for your frame (27.2 mm or 31.6 mm), as these are not interchangeable.
