SALICE Ice sí és snowboard mountaineers climbers helmet

Salice Occhiali – always focused on the safety of skiers and athletes – with the ICE helmet now also takes care of mountaineers, ski mountaineers, and climbers.
The helmet is approved with the European certification EN 1077:2007 class B and the American ASTM F2040:2018 standard for skiing, as well as the European EN 12492:2021 mountaineering equipment specification and the UIAA 106 certification, which is even more restrictive and issued by the International Union of Mountaineering Associations.

As a multisport helmet, the ICE features an internal EPS shell co-molded with the outer polycarbonate shell, a compact shape, and 13 ventilation holes.
Regarding thermoregulation, it is important to note that the ICE helmet is supplied with removable and washable EVA technical padding, providing maximum breathability for mountaineering and climbing, while winter padding is included for the skiing version.
Using the winter padding makes the helmet warmer and suitable for traditional skiing; replacing it with the EVA padding transforms it into a cooler, more breathable version, ideal for ski mountaineers and climbers.

Given the variety of uses, the helmet is supplied with three multipurpose elastic straps:
• two elastic straps on the sides
• one elastic strap at the front
These are used to secure the goggle to the shell or to hold headlamps for night or early-morning excursions.

The ICE helmet is available in two sizes, both featuring a micrometric adjustment system:
• S-M (53–58 cm, 330 grams)
• L-XL (58–61 cm, 360 grams)
Choosing the correct size, properly adjusting the rotor, and tightening the chin strap – secured by a buckle – optimizes the fit and prevents slipping that could compromise safety.
