TECHNICAL MASTERPIECE
Carbon rims with a refined aerodynamic 45mm profile, 21mm internal width with a hook, achieving maximum efficiency with tubeless tires ranging from 28 to 32mm. The 24 aerodynamic spokes, arranged in a 2:1 cross pattern, are laced onto direct-pull hubs. Compared to previous versions, the updated carbon construction has reduced the weight to 590g per wheelset.
AN AERO CHOICE
The aerodynamic development of rims has become a fundamental part of road wheel evolution. The new 45mm depth profiles with 21mm channels are the result of thorough wind tunnel tests and CFD analyses, targeting the perfect profiles for aerodynamics, crosswind resistance, and smooth handling.
DESCRIPTION
The new SC45 builds upon previous versions and brings new VISION rims, also used in the METRON series but with more classic and less extreme structural solutions. The carbon rim, with an aerodynamic profile available in 45mm or 60mm depth, features a 21mm internal width and hook to achieve maximum efficiency with tubeless tires ranging from 28 to 32mm. The 24 aerodynamic spokes in a 2:1 cross pattern are laced onto direct-pull hubs. The rear freehub has the classic pawl design but with an improved version, offering better reliability and easier maintenance. Our engineers conducted detailed road surveys and laboratory tests to refine the structure, resulting in significantly higher stability and performance, both in rolling and long-term durability. We also performed tests on performance degradation from intensive use, improving component coupling and part durability. The weight has been reduced, mainly thanks to modern carbon construction, reaching 1,590g per pair for the SC45 and 1,690g for the SC60.
