Salice snowboard and ski goggles, technologies
Italcheck is now one of the main systems for certification and authentication, and makes sure to protect and promote the Made in Italy products, certifying and giving the opportunity to check, through the IC QR code / NFC and the dedicated smart utility, the authenticity of the articles and to trace the production and origin both in Italy and abroad, proving an advantage for those exports and becoming an enhancement and storytelling project of the Made in Italy excellences.

Thanks to our expertise and on-going research, we work to offer you products that protect your eyes from sun radiations, cold, and wind; they improve your vision and are anti-fog. Salice goggles have the best fitting and a top look.

The standard protection index numbers for ski goggle lens types can be found in the table below.

The innovative winter technology ensures optimal vision on snow in all weather conditions and eliminates the typical problem of photochromic lenses: in cold weather, the lenses no longer darken excessively, even under low light conditions. The RWX by NXT® lens reacts quickly to changes in light, with fast activation and fading speeds, transitioning from category S1 (non-activated, low light conditions and less bright snow) to category S3 (activated, in strong sunlight).
Beyond its technical performance, the RWX by NXT® lens also stands out visually: in its non-activated state, it has a subtle shine, while in strong light it develops an intense blue tint, providing enhanced color contrast. The mirror coating reduces glare and eye strain, while the oleophobic front coating protects the lens surface from scratches, smudges, fingerprints, dust, and water. Additionally, the coating helps keep the lens bright and clear, reduces the risk of damage to the color layer, and makes cleaning easier.

TECH: New Generation Lens – Combining photochromic and polarized technologies, this lens also features a multicoating mirror treatment that enhances color contrast and adds a bold, dynamic look. The lens adapts seamlessly to light conditions, transitioning from category S2 (non-activated) to S4 (fully activated).

CRX-POLARFLEX: Dual-Function Lens – This lens combines the technological benefits of photochromic and polarized lenses. It features a double-layer design: the inner lens is polarized, reducing glare and eliminating dazzle, while the outer photochromic lens is activated by sunlight and adjusts its color according to weather conditions. The lens transitions seamlessly from category S2 to S4.

CRX: Photochromic Chromolex Lens – This lens changes its color according to sunlight intensity: it darkens in bright light and lightens in low light. This ensures optimal visibility, allowing the wearer to keep their ski goggles on in any lighting condition. The lens transitions smoothly from category S1 to S3.

Sonar Lens – Patented by ZEISS and specially developed for skiing, this lens partially filters blue light, like many other technical lenses, while allowing the eye to detect terrain irregularities that are normally hard to notice. The Sonar lens enhances color contrast and brightness, while simultaneously improving the ability to spot bumps, ensuring safer skiing. It is suitable for all light conditions and is category S2. Available for models 605, 609, and 709.

QUATTRO: New Technical Lens – Category S4, specially developed for high-mountain skiing. It features a double-layer design with a smoke anti-fog outer lens and a gold-green inner lens, providing enhanced depth perception and maximum protection in extreme conditions. Available for models 102 and 105.
