CT1 Triathlon Shoes – Technical Description
The CT1 is engineered specifically for triathlon racing, combining speed, comfort, and performance. It features two Velcro straps that are easily adjustable for a snug and secure fit. A large, inverted top strap along with a rear pull tab allows for fast and effortless entry during transitions. An additional side strap helps keep the shoe in race-ready position after the swim. The use of quick-drying materials and anti-slip lining ensures the foot stays dry and properly positioned, enhancing both comfort and performance throughout the race.

We have constructed the CT1 for Triathlon racing and use two Velcro straps easily adjusted for a snug and comfortable fit. Quick and supereasy step-in is made possible thanks to a large and inverted top strap during tri-racing with the help of the rear strap. We even added a side strap to put the shoe in a race-ready position after the swim. The foot must dry quickly during racing, and we chose special materials for that, and an anti-slip lining keeps the foot in the correct position for increased performance and comfort.

Each manufacturer uses a different stiffness index. The lack of an industry-wide standard has led to brands using different scales. We and others use a standard 1-10 scale, while others go beyond using a 12, 13, and even 15. It doesn’t mean that 15 from one brand is stiffer than 10 from another. The scale is just different. We recommend that competitive or serious recreational cyclists aim for the stiffest shoe their budget allows. Casual riders benefit from a more comfortable shoe with less rigidity.
