Product Description
The Hutchinson Touareg Race GridSkin is a gravel racing tyre developed specifically for rocky, sharp and unpredictable terrain. GridSkin reinforcement technology makes its first appearance in Hutchinson’s gravel range after previously proving itself on the road range. Its purpose is to help reduce the risk of race-ending punctures and sidewall damage.
The GridSkin technology uses a knitted mesh reinforcement layer that provides targeted protection to the sidewalls, helping to isolate cuts and tears. Unlike traditional heavy reinforcement systems, GridSkin has a minimal impact on rolling resistance and weight, maintaining the performance required for racing while adding additional protection.
The Touareg Race GridSkin uses the same high-rebound Mach Tread 3.0 compound as the standard Race version. It is available in 40, 45 and 50 mm widths. The unique “speckled” GridSkin finish creates a distinctive appearance that reflects the tyre’s reinforced construction.
