Basso Palta gravel bicycle
The next frontier
The proof that adventure can be competitive, that performance doesn’t require a race number, and that exploration is better with adrenaline and speed… comes in the form of Palta.
Others observe, we experience: Others do gravel, we do Palta
While others tried to define gravel, we marked our own path.
Others tried to follow a definition that didn’t exist, we created one coherent with our DNA:
#WeDoPalta
Geometry
Minor changes were made to the extremely versatile Palta geometry.
Sloping
Increased sloping value to allow more seatpost exposure and flex, leading to increased comfort.
Headtube
Taller headtube for fewer spacers and more comfort. But we didn’t forget about the racers…

Fork
The unique geometry of the advanced fork stays provides even more precise handling.
Air Flow
Larger spacing between tire and fork.
Design
The design of the Palta II follows the philosophy of maintaining the overwhelmingly long list of positive elements from the first version and improving where possible.
Tire clearence
Tire clearance up to 45 mm tires with 700c wheels. NOTE: Indicated tire clearance is guaranteed with gravel groupsets. Road groupsets follow manufacturer-suggested clearances.
Bags & Bottles
Top tube hidden bolts to accommodate compatible bags.
3 different bottle cage positions: 2 on the downtube and 1 on the seat tube.
Protection & Compatibility
The downtube also features a plastic protection piece that can be installed when riding on rough gravel.
Palta is compatible with both 1x and 2x electronic and mechanical groupsets, both gravel and road (up to 52–36 chainrings).
Geometry
Every good bike fit starts with choosing the correct frame size. This allows you to benefit fully from the bike’s performance and comfort for an efficient riding position.

3B Clamp System Gen 2
A totally hidden fixing solution that is invisible on the frame, intertwining technological and aesthetic innovation.
The result is a lightweight, invisible and strong integrated system with three screws, further improved through the vulcanization of the steel plate. This Basso solution gives the 3B system an anti-vibration function, improving the riding experience on uneven surfaces.
Basso Explorer Thru Axle Kit
The Basso Explorer thru axle kit consists of a front and rear axle with specific integrated cycling tools. This way you always carry the necessary tools to keep riding in any situation.
Paradigma Integration System
“At Basso we take nothing for granted. We believe in engineering as the baseline, and attention to detail and beauty. With this attitude, we took the path that led us to the development of the new Paradigm Integration System: stem, spacers, headset.”
— Alcide Basso

Basso Carbon Gravel handlebar
Developed from the ground up with off-road comfort as the main focus.
We reduced the section of the handlebar to integrate a 4.5 mm thickness bar tape and studied ergonomics in all hand positions, from the tops to the drops.

Looking for peak performance?
The Palta is compatible with the Levita integrated handlebar by Basso.
Weighing just 330 g (110×420 mm, medium), this cockpit adds unmatched stiffness and lightness to your ride.
